September 18, 2009 preliminary results

I have just presented the preliminary results of eDepression study at Medicine 2.0 conference in Toronto (official blog post about the presentation).

The project started in 2007 under late prof. Andrej Marušič's guidance and its aim was to develop, deploy and evaluate in a clinical study web/mobile based environment for depression treatment support.
We hoped to be able to demonstrate the effect on therapy compliance and treatment outcome.

We were happy to notice that patients using were more compliant to therapy and took the antidepressants longer than control group. It also seems we will be able to confirm our hypothesis that has a direct and specific impact on the outcome of treatment as at the moment depression-free outcome is 4 times greater when using improvehealth. Outcome results are statistically significant and we hope they stay this way as more patients conclude the study.
